| The Nicholas Price/City of North Las Vegas Community Partnership Program For Art In Public Domain is designed to create a cultural bridge to link city, business, community, education, through the visual arts. Nicholas Price Enterprises are providing support and artwork for this Program to the combined value of $1 million dollars over the next five years during this Program's integration. The Program is designed to foster relations and patronage of the arts and stimulate more financial support for the arts from business, foundation and individual sources. Efforts will also be made to stimulate and support services this Program can offer to business, the transfer of management expertise from business to the arts, and sharing of knowledge and best practices. Through acquisition, lease, commission or the sponsoring of works of art, sculpture and photography created by Nicholas A. Price. Those works are then provided for exhibition and education in public spaces as identified by the City Of North Las Vegas in the local North Las Vegas area community. In turn, Nicholas A. Price and Nicholas Price Enterprises, who have extensive experience in working with businesses, community and government for art in public domain, are providing ongoing education, workshops and outreach programs designed for schools and for the community in the City Of North Las Vegas and the whole of Clark County, with particular emphasis on at risk youth, children with special needs and under represented areas in the community that have no relationship with the arts. The program will incorporate tours of the works, educational seminars, training, school visits and presentations to educators and business leaders regarding all forms of art by Nicholas Price, by other artist's around the world, art throughout other communities in the USA and art education. By providing a Program such as this, which in terms of a Public and Private Partnership, we believe to be the first of its kind in the USA, we are able to create an immediate patronage of the arts between these businesses and our community facilitated by the use of public spaces identified by the City. This Program is an excellent illustration of the business community's long term commitment to be part of our growing city and help fill the much needed void of cultural support, art expression and most importantly art education. The business patron also benefits from being part of the progressive cultural evolution in a rapidly developing City such as ours and the furthering of cultural sophistication in our community. Our mission for this Program is to achieve the following: 1. Build individual, corporate and community appreciation of the value of public art. 2. Generate more public- and private sector patronage and resources for public art and arts education 3. Respond to diverse community needs 4. Foster an environment in which the arts can thrive and contribute to the creation of more livable communities. |
